Scaffold Toeboard

Concern:

A worker on a scaffold may accidentally push over an object staged on the platform (e.g., a bucket) and strike a worker passing underneath or cause damage.

Countermeasure:

OSHA (2010) requires workers on a scaffold 10 feet or higher to place toe boards at the platform edges to mitigate the chance of kicking over objects.
This reduces the chance of an object falling down; it does not fully prevent it from happening.
