Bolted Steel Moment Resisting Frame
Concern:
Workers must work at elevation to weld connections during structural steel erection.
Countermeasure:
Welded connections are replaced by hoist-in-place beams that are then bolted together.
Worker can work while standing in basket.
Time to complete connections is reduced, so that the time the worker has to work at elevation is reduced as well.
